I love the "run-off" idea. Every time I've seen these voted-on games they have started 1 e4. I'd rather see anything than yet another one. I voted 1 c4, but would vote for anything but e4 in a run-off.

Let's see, we have the candidates and a last match up. Maybe we should add interzonals!? (sorry, couldn't resist...)

5 and 2 it is then. Hmm, counting back. The move gets confirmed and posted sunday evening/night, which means the candidates should be in on friday evening/night.

Both of which in CET (Central European Time) which is GMT+1 (Greenwich Meantime).

For those who may have missed the announcement....

Voting is open til Friday for the candidate moves. (See above) The top choices will be voted on Saturday and Sunday. The winning move (I think I made a pun.. ) will be uncaged Sunday night.

I just tested my moderator abilities to modify the poll with the help of Eurymedon.. who?! Well, I'll leave that as a trivia question.

Anyway, it seems I can add and remove options as well as change the count of any option (no I can't get away with Florida election techniques because the votes are public).
So, maybe it's easiest to just post for the candidate moves and then change the poll with whatever candidate moves we select for it; learning to use this particular forum's moderator perks as I go along

I would move Nf3
But that's just me because I enjoy that opening...
