I was wondering..I want to take it to the next level and start getting noticed

My question is since I can't figure it out...how does one start getting noticed?
Is it only by tournaments?
Or are there any other ways?
I mean can you do it online as well??

Are you a member of the USCF? Joining that and playing in tournaments is a good start. Winning helps of course. Good luck.

Maybe check the FAQs? There should be plenty there to get you started.

I don't think USCF has online play. You'd have to play in tournaments. The web site has club and tournament listings by state, so start there to find stuff in your area.

USCF used to have online play, but they sold it, I think. There is FICS for online play, or chess.com or ICC.
