Ok, by copy pasting from the help page and subbing the links I got it, but as it was character for character what I was already typing I've got no idea how that came about!

EDIT: The problem may have been the [no parse] tag that's inserted in the software to allow users to post BB Coded tags as they are and not reverting to the images without inserting extra stuff into the links to screw them up. Just something to watch when using the code as a sig in VBulletin sites.

In order to do that, the admin (Greg) would have to allow HTML I believe, right now it is not allowed). Could be wrong though.

Yeah, another forum with the same platform - hence the BB alteration. I suspect using the same banner here would have the same issue unless Greg has removed the no parse tag, as that was what caused it. Exactly how to get around it I'm not sure other than direct copy pasting from the help page! I really do need to actually start learning programming/web design, always something I've wanted to do!

I will have to look into that, as and when/if users want to add images to their signatures, personally I'm undecided about the use of images in sigs, I think if there is a maximum size set its fine, but sometimes it can get a bit out of hand and leave the forum looking cluttered.

I should know that code really! Although I'm better at CSS these days for web design,

200x100 pixels is what that forum (Alternative Nation - I'm Arachno there not Caissa's DeathAngel for what it's worth if you want to see my profile, and the site has a content warning as it's studenty and extreme language etc is present all over the place!) that I put the banner on uses, and that works well.

EDIT: Interesting! It automatically parses the URLs to a greater degree than AN does. I just typed the URL, not even including the Http, and it comes up as the auto text! Definitely the no-parse tag at work there on AltNation then, no wonder I couldn't get the image up!!
