Sorry its because web addresses are automatically converted to links! and IMG tags to images!

Just remove the spaces between chess and forums in the code

Nope, that's still not got it! It's not showing the banner when I put that BB code in, even without the URL part!

Still nothing, that BB code can't be right as the banner doesn't show with it, even if I remove the hyperlink.

Hmm thats strange, I'm sure thats correct code, it may be that the forum you are using has disabled HTML and BB Code? Have other members of the forum got an image in their signature?

The forum disables HTML, hence why I can't use the original, but it's based on the same platform this site is (VBulletin, heavily modified) and BB Code is definitely allowed! But then if the code worked, then it would be showing in your post at the top of this page unless you inserted a space or something to stop it. You haven't, and it doesn't, hence there is a problem with the code I think!

And I've had images in my signature before, as do half the forum, so I guarantee that works!
