Hi everyone,
When Chess Forums was first setup I set out the basic forum areas from my knowledge of chess and my limited knowledge of forums, since then a few forum areas have been requested but the main structure has remained the same. I've been thinking that perhaps theres a few ways to improve on the overall structure as its naturally developed that some areas of the forum are more popular than others.
I was thinking something along these lines,
Combining the General Discussion and Strategy areas as many of the topics/subjects are closely related, and it now seems strange having them seperated. Then a new Chess Resources area to collect all the Chess Links, Books, News and Software threads.
-General Chess Strategy & Discussion -New to Chess
-General Chess Discussion
-Chess Strategy & Tips
-Chess Openings
-Chess Puzzles & Game Analysis (then as these 2 areas get more popular divide them off into their own areas)
-Chess Resources-Chess News
-Chess Software
-Chess Books & Recommended Reading
-Chess Links & Recommended Websites
Then
Chess Forums - The Site and
Chess Articles remaining as they are.
Interested to hear everyone's opinions/thoughts on these changes, or any suggestions you may have, as its all the members who need to feel comfortable with the forums structure.
Thanks,
Greg
