I think this forum should also have a Puzzles Section. First of all, because puzzles are the best thing in chess and second of all, because we can then use the extremely nice FEN Viewer mr Phob made

I like the idea Phobetor, do you see this just as an area for anyone to post and reply to puzzles? Or would you like to see a partnership with a puzzle site perhaps, so that we automatically generate the puzzles on a daily/weekly basis? Whats everyones thoughts on this idea and concept?

as long as you 'stay on this site' for the puzzles. You don't want to be diverted away from the Chess Forum.

No for sure, we don't want a situation where you have to follow a link to another site to see the puzzle/or solution/s. Perhaps it will be best to just to post our own puzzles, and see how that goes?

(I have been approached by people in the past to run puzzles on the forum homepage, but that would mean linking to an external site)

We can just post our own puzzles. Also, it's not illegal to post puzzles from other sites. Puzzles on other sites are also very often not made by the site, but made by someone else. If you just mention the author of the puzzles, I don't think there's a big problem.
Anyway I got a bunch of pretty tough puzzles which I could post on the Puzzles Forum, if only it existed

OK cool sounds good, we will use our own puzzles, and if we use other puzzles from books and such, remember to quote the author/reference
