Are you sure that isn't a misprint for Nf3?

There is no mistake! The cry of the possum splits the still night air! 2. f3! is our move.

I recommend 2...d5. Then it is as though we are playing a Centre Game where White has the extra move f3. Unless White plays 3.d3, in which case we have a reversed Phillidor with 3...Nf6.

I agree, I like 2...d5. I have a bit of Center Game experience, and the move f3 isn't really useful in that setup.
2...d5

I'll probably post the move over there tomorrow morning around 9AM ET. You guys have until then to vote. For now, it's 2 votes for 2...d5.
BTW, A1...would you mind updating the first post with each move?

I vote 2. ... Bc5
Seems to be the most to the point to play Bc5 first then d5.

It's hard to decide between 2...d5 and 2...Bc5, simply because both moves are good for Black.
Still, I'll stick to my guns with 2...d5. Alternatively 2...Nf6 is also a good move.

What do you think we should play against 3.d3?
I suggest either 3...Nf6 and developing as in a Phillidor Reversed, or the more enterprising 3...c6 4.g3 f5.
