This one should be open and shut...I recommend 2. d4.

I also vote for 2.d4. If Black replies with 2...Nf6, I vote for 3.Nc3. And if Black plays 3...g6 after that, I vote for 4.f4.

Whoa there, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here.
Anyways, my vote is for 2. d4. Is there any other way to play the Pirc?

There are several other ways to meet the Pirc, e.g. 4.f4, 4.Be3, 4.f3, 4.Nf3, 4.Bg5, 4.g3, 4.Nge2, 3.Bd3, 3.f3, etc.

Ummm, I was suggesting second-move alternatives to 2. d4.
And you posted 4. Be3 twice, BTW.

Thanks for the correction granturismo4ad.
Instead of 2.d4, the moves 2.Nc3, 2.Nf3 and 2.f4 are all possible, but these restrict White's options because White will have to play d4 at a later date to fight for any advantage.
