International Chess Forums Tournament
Hi guys,
I was wondering if there might be some interest in a correspondence chess round robin tournament with the following participants:
- Chess Forums (UK)
- Chess Leaders (Bahrain)
- Chess Talk (Canada)
- OzChess (Australia)
If there is enough interest from members, please let me know and I will set it up.
Thanks,
AO

This is a request for help!
If there is someone at this forum who is willing to register at the other forums and post what move Chess Forums has decided to play on those forums, that would be greatly appreciated.
I had no idea running a round robin like this would be so much work!

I attempted to register for Chess Talk and I don't think it worked. I'll follow up on that after work.

The Chessforums servers are in the UK and not the USA?

The ones on this site are, apparently. Learn something new every day, huh?

That's cool. But, how about Canada maybe? The Owner of this site, Stuntpope, lists his location as Totonto, Ontario Canada and he has noted working on the servers at his location not too long ago-
Well that sucked...another outage

Thank you Abba. I will create an account for you at OzChess and private message you the password.
Chess Talk have a strange policy of requiring a person to use their real name (both Christian and surname) when creating an account.

I suppose I can sign up at Chess Talk if nobody else is volunteering.
I do warn the public, they will not be automatic responses, as I am busy from 7:30 to 3 pm GMT -5 Monday through Friday, and 8:45 to about 3 on Saturdays (high school).
One question about the site: is the French section the same as the English, just translated?

OK, successfully registered at Chess Talk. There's still voting going on for their first move.

You are authorised to take command and make sure they make their 2 moves per week

Excellent idea! I enjoy being able to contribute to several on-going correspondence games at once.
