Only had one chess game I didn't enjoy and that was when I first encountered the 2 move mate.

ouch...the worse I ever had was a 10 move mate

though I think that was since I was a young kid when I first played and no one wanted to be mean to the kid...anyways...

The quick mates are easy to avoid if you know what you are looking for. Actually the 3 and 2 move mates you have to mess up and basically let the other guy mate you. The 4 move mate is the fastest one side can force its way in. After that there is no quick and easy mate.

All I do remember is that it was under 10 moves and the queen captured at f7, and I was very sad

I am (hopefully) a lot better now...
