Any one want to play me? (Lanced - Perseus)
I would like to try 1.d4 because I always play 1.e4. More than that I have never played a corispondence game so I just want to play. 1.d4. Anyone is welcome to play me, and please do.
and offtopic I tried to make the move 1.d4 bold so that people would know what I chose and if it dosn't show up bold will someone plaese explain how to do it.

Actually, we did move order into that line, I forgot about black pushing c5 immediately after Bd3.. (that's what I get for posting when I'm tired!)
[Root: 1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. c4 b6 4. Nc3 Bb7 5. a3 d5 6. cxd5 Nxd5 7. e3]
7. ... Be7 8. Bb5+ c6 9. Bd3 Nxc3 10. bxc3 c5
7. ... Nxc3 8. bxc3 Be7 9. Bd3 c5
Back to the game at hand.
1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. c4 b6 4. Nc3 Bb7 5. a3 d5 6. cxd5 Nxd5 7. e3 Nxc3 8. bxc3 Be7 9. Bd3 c5 10. O-O Nd7

I think bishop-b2 was a slight in acuracy. I should have played c4 and my bishop would have retained more flexibility. 12. c4

I've seen Bb2 before, not a particularly bad move.
1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. c4 b6 4. Nc3 Bb7 5. a3 d5 6. cxd5 Nxd5 7. e3 Nxc3 8. bxc3 Be7 9. Bd3 c5 10. O-O Nd7 11. Bb2 O-O 12. c4 Rc8
Uncharted territory for me, time to experiment.

well not a bad expirement c8 is a very usefull square for the rook. I like that new guy smash he seems really exciting, it's good to to have a bunch of different moods here a lot or people are matter-of -fact. smash is much welcome change. 1.d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. c4 b6 4. Nc3 Bb7 5. a3 d5 6. cd Nd5 7. e3 Nc3 8. bc3 Be7 9. Bd3 c5 10. O-O Nd7 11. Bb2 O-O 12. c4 Rc8 13. Qe2

1.d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. c4 b6 4. Nc3 Bb7 5. a3 d5 6. cd Nd5 7. e3 Nc3 8.Bc3 Be7 9. Bd3 c5 10. O-O Nd7 11. Bb2 O-O 12. c4 Rc8 13. Qe2 Qc7
I had a different move in mind but I think Qc7 is better. In fact, I intended that move (which I'll not mention for now) on move 12. But as CJS Purdy once said, 'play the moves you have to make first' and that rook obviously belongs on c8.
We're just about out of the opening and I think white has his usual 'slight edge', so we must have done alright so far. That said if I could play it over, I still would have changed one (book) move for another (experimental) move if I could turn time.
Oh well, let's run with this line
