Any one want to play me? (Lanced - Perseus)
I would like to try 1.d4 because I always play 1.e4. More than that I have never played a corispondence game so I just want to play. 1.d4. Anyone is welcome to play me, and please do.
and offtopic I tried to make the move 1.d4 bold so that people would know what I chose and if it dosn't show up bold will someone plaese explain how to do it.

I agree. this is pretty cool I never use'd to play 1. d4. This is my first 1.d4 game in about three years I think. Last night I played only 1. d4 in about twenty lightning games and I won slightly more than half which is as much as I can say for 1. e4. I only play the Queens Gambit Accepted or declined so it was nice to be on the white side for a change, I even played two Catalans_facinating opening. Someone played the Dutch against me and I was tinking that I don't see this much anymore but then I realised I rarely play it and I havent played 1. d4 for a long time. In short I don't know many Queens Pawn games, and I forgot a lot about the openings thoug its starting to come back so this game will help me learn some about the Queens Indian Defense .
and I read the thing you rote about your recomendations for this section, its cool with me. 1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. c4 b6 4. Nc3 Bb7 5. a3

Haven't played many games in the QID yet. Though I know theory, I have no practical experience with it.
I am something of a fan of the Dutch Defense(s) myself, but I'm not about to play that in correspondence.

I guess were both on new ground then. I used to only play the dutch, now though I am rather a fan of the QGD Orthodox Defense though I do play the dutch sometimes. Why not Dutch in coorispondence? and by the way I have been using this word alot lately but doesn't look right. How to spell coorispondence?

'Correspondence.' =>> correspondence - Definitions from Dictionary.com
1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. c4 b6 4. Nc3 Bb7 5. a3 d5 6. cxd5 Nxd5
Well, I have also played a QGD-Slav-kind of defense for a little while. As for why I wouldn't use the Dutch in correspondence, well, I don't think it'll stand against all sorts of well-cooked attacks. It's not that I fear being blown off the board or anything, it's just that the chances of white reaching a fairly safe and sizable advantage are too good when posting a move at a time.

My first 'decision'. I think we may end up transposing into something I analyzed recently.

Looks like we'll avoid the line I had in mind, which is alright with me.
