Hi all

I have lots of problems with my connection dropping on Playchess.com. Does anyone else suffer from this? I am seriously considering not renewing my account because of it. I play on ICC and FICS with no problems at all, also my Internet connection if fine for everything else.

Everytime I bring this up on the help channel I get the same reply, i.e that it must be at my end.

I am also experiencing those disconnections. I think it is related somehow to the ping delay to Germany where the server is locaeted. Whenever I have delays larger than 100 milli seconds I have this. Also, when ever playchess' server is crowded (eg broadcasts of chess events) - it's a bad day too. The usual response is 'your connection is to blame' but I hardly accept it because 100mS delay is sufficient for connection abroad and I assume probably the problem is with the SW operating their server which throws you out too early.- They have not issued a SW update for ages.
Anyway I have encountered those brownouts not too often.
