I am spending quite some time in a day on chesstempo.com, doing tactics and 2 problems of endgames.

But i also want to learn some openings? At first i talked to myself that i will learn openings, their basics their thoughts and ideas when i will touch 1800 mark at chesstempo,

But now i think that every topic of the game even openings should be touched and slowly and slowly every things, opening, tactics and endgames will help to enhance my game ?

What you guys think ? Should I keep on going with first achieving 1800 mark at CT or consider openings aswell? But it will might take a year or even more than that.

and if you prefer of learning opening aswell, then from which opening should i start.
at yahoo and now also on chess.com whenever i play against King's Gambit,i loose, i just cant understand what is going on? When i started to learn Kings Gambit. I read in a book
"Nick de Firmian Modern Chess Openings"

that it is not a very good openings, i mean it nice but not a priority and has many lines where force mate is possible, i left reading it and i started to read about RuyLopez, its nice and stable to my little experience. and i like English opeing aswell, But i dont play them orally i play them while reading the book, or wikipedia.
so please tell me what to do ?

You should learn openings now and play first move e4! with White. This is
necessary because you will enter very sharp variations where chess principles
become clear to you faster, as if you would play closed openings starting with d4 or c4.

When you play Black answer 1. e4 with 1....c5 or 1....e5. Don't play closed openings like the modern defense or Pirc for the same reason as above.

Learn good opening principles before anything else. Also, MCO is a good book to use as a reference, but don't sit and read it. Just pick an opening, try it out a few times, and look it up in MCO afterwards to see how you varied from the way the grandmasters play that opening. You'll learn a little bit at a time about the opening that way, which is better and more memorable than trying to read a book to learn everything about the opening at once.

Videos probably take less time to watch than reading a book on the opening, but it still seems like a beginner watching these is spending way too much time on opening study. Until your rating hits 1600 (slow OTB - figure 1800+ if you're just doing internet blitz), I wouldn't spend more than half an hour researching any particular opening before trying it. Then, learn as you go from there. As I said, compare your games to master games and MCO to pick up bits and pieces of knowledge about the opening as you grow.

If you're trying to decide an opening or two to learn - consider sticking with open/active games while you're still improving (check out the Danish/Goring Gambit for some fun!) . This will help you sharpen your calculation and tactical abilities. For novices, I personally don't recommend closed positional openings.
