Again im wondering off the track to play an opening I am unfamiliar with. I like semi-open and open games, therefore, I would like to know if the Dunst would present me with such opportunities? Not considering transpositions, what positions would the Dunst bring forth?

Why don't you look at some master games and decide for yourself if it fits you?

Speaking off the cuff you'd probably want to get your knight off c3 to allow a timely c4.

I have had tremendous success with the "Dunst". There are many wonderful transposition possibilities and traps. A common transpostion is to the Vienna game or gambit. I started playing the Dunst before knowing there was a name for 1. Nc3 . I wanted to entice Black to respond 1. ... d5 as I had a prepared line. The line almost gauranteed a win if black made a particular conceptual error. The general idea is
1. Nc3 d5
2. e4 (note the possible entry to the Center-Counter or Scandinavian defense)
... d4
3. Ne2 e5
4 Ng3 Nc6 (for example)
The idea is for white to exchange the light squared bishop for either a knight or bishop and then play d3, f4, etc etc with a very strong attack Black has a very bad bishop and perhaps only one knight. Clearly there are many many other considerations but that was the genesis of my idea. I usually open with e4 and in response to d5 I will always play Nc3.

The Dunst could transpose into the Veresov opening (d4 d5 Nc3 Nf6) or into the Scandanavian Declined with 2. e4.
The problem with the Dunst is that it does not prevent Black from playing what he wants. 1 Nf3 prevens e5, but Nc3 does not prevent d5.
