This was a game I played against a player rated 1600 and I managed to win . We played 3 games and I won 2 and drew 1 . I added some of my thughts and analysis , and if anyone has any suggetions and comments I would very much like to hear them . I mainly playfor fun so I don't have a ranking but maybe someone can tell me if my play is "decent" enough to join a chess club as I don't want to get slaughtered

In the majority of my games with Bird , this bishop proves important in the

e has remained open . White cannot allow black to close the a1-h8 diagonal as
this would place the bishop out of the game} O-O $11 8. h3 {Not the best move ,
white needs to prevent the Nb4 , and the bishop is either traded or placed on
the not so optimal e2} Qc7 (8... Nb4 9. Bb5 Bd7 10. Bxd7 Nxd7 $17 {

I set up a little "trap" for black. My plan is to open the g-file .} Nxd3 11.
