Hi,
I need your help. Way back in the day I came across a book for kids to learn how to play chess. It was a great book because it actually told a story about three kids learning how to play chess by one of the children's uncle. So there was an actual story line and not just rote chess instruction. However, at the end of each chapter there was a chess lesson to be learned. I'm pretty sure it was originally published in Russia because the children's names were like "Boris" and "Sasha" etc... This is all I recall about the book. I remember thinking at the time that someday when I have children I wanted to use this story/instruction book to introduce them to chess. Well, I now have two kids and the oldest is ready to start learning.
Does anyone know the book I am speaking of????? Thanks
