I searched around. Based on my knowledge with previous experience,
it appears that only the USCF sales would be the official US dealer.
I once bought a Chess Informant from Chess Digest (no longer in existence) and a tag in the book indicated that they got the book from the USCF.
It appears that USCF does not yet have the book.
The American cost would probably be around $65.
Also it appears that there are several other older volumes called 1, 2, and 3 of 1000 games by Chess Informant.
Chess Cafe is now the official USCF sales distributor. And they do not have the book. They take you to USCF sales where the book does not show.
I would try getting the book from:
http://www.sahovski.com/products/oth...est.php?id=349
Note: All the games were picked by a GM board.
All the games came from previous Informant editions.
The games are in Informant notation, figurine.
The games have to be from 1966 to the present.
If you buy from the publisher you may have to pay a conversion charge card charge to or for GBPs plus shipping. I have purchased books from CHess Stars (Moscow) and got all but one on time. They told me they were reprinting the book I wanted. After the printing I did get the upgraded book.
Sahovski as far as I know is honest, and responds to emails.
Possibly a cheaper version of the item in question may come out in DVD.
You can ask the publisher.
