A reviewer at Amazon.com wrote that this is a reprint of Benko's endgame columns in Chess Life from 1981 to 1986. Can anyone verify this?

I already have the two-volume "Chess Endgame Lessons", also by Benko, and I am trying to figure out the (possible) overlap with this new publication.

I happen to remember a conversation on Usenet when this was first published. I just found it with a quick Google search:

This confirms that it is a reprint of the Chess Life columns from 1981-1986. There's also additional conversation comparing it to previous reprints of the same material, which may be what you're talking about, but I'm not familiar enough with the work to know, so you'll want to check out the whole conversation.

Thanks a lot for the reference. The publisher is planning to come up with five volumes of Benko's endgame articles, and mine seems to correspond to the first two.
