I have been left a copy of Aaron Nimzowitsch's Mein System 1st edition 1925 in very good condition, does anyone else own such a classic and if so does anyone know what it is worth.

I have used book search but found nothing.

Did you check ebay? My guess is that an original, first edition in German still won't be worth much. Chess players are an impecunious lot and generally aren’t much into collecting. The local chess club has literally hundreds of old books for sale and nobody buys them. Everybody wants new opening books. My guess: $25 at best…about the cost of a new book.

mmmm, your quote is way out, this is the first edition of what is considered the most important book on chess ever written, second editions are 10 times your quote. Yes i have looked on ebay and found nothing. The print run for this book was small, its quite rare.
