I have to disagree with some of the comments. Keres played Postal Chess in countless games, as did Steinitz, as did Marshall and countless others.
Oh yes, and Alekhine.
Those postal games helped Keres with his OTB play.
Internet Chess account for nothing, no prizes, no points. The Yahoo points are meaningless. So use the games for experimentation. Try out Openings or lines and see where it takes you. Of course, software by raising the bar
can also complement your chess progress. Use Internet and chess software as a learning experience.
