I think too little, but it's .. hard to keep thinking. I mean, usually I seam to know what I'm going to do pretty obviously, at least until the mid of the game, no matter I do vary, because it's fun to vary.

But I feel I need more .. somewhat, the ability of spending more time thinking, and possibly learn something about better strategy, I don't know. (I haven't bought the books yet, and it'll take a while, yet.)

Would anyone have any hints for me?

Why think about a move if you don't know what to think about?

If you don't know what you should be looking for when thinking about your next move, then you won't spend a whole lot of time thinking, as there is nothing to think about.

Before I confuse both of us, I would suggest taking a look at either The Amateur's Mind or How to Reassess Your Chess. Both are by Jeremy Silman. Both books explain in pretty clear english how to evaluate a position and differences that you can take advantage of.

Yea, thinking more is a good way to improve, especially while practicing on the Internet! Blitz won't help you much, and long games can gear you up for better "checking" on the board. Check this article out:
