Usually when my queen gets captured, I'm heavily concentrating or mesmerized by a nice move I'm about to make or made previously!
How can I recover when my queen has been captured?

Well, one way would be to make sure your opponent has to invest
more material than the queen is worth.. The old interpretation (in value of pawns): queen = 9, rook = 5, knight/bishop = 3. Two rooks for a queen is often advantageous for the side giving up the queen..
Don't get me wrong, it's not like those values are 100% true 100% of the time, they aren't! But it's a fair enough guideline.
